Some familiar herbs used to treat hemorrhoids are witch hazel, butcher’s broom and barberry. Butcher’s broom is good for general vein health and blood flow support. Everyday one to three 100-milligram pills will prove helpful.
As with any form of treatment that affects your health, consult your physician before applying any herbal hemorrhoid treatment methods, especially if you are on prescription drugs, breastfeeding, pregnant or dealing with other medical issues. Endeavor to always follow the label on the product. It is not advised that butcher’s broom be used if you are pregnant, nursing, on alpha blockers or MAO inhibitors. Use a cotton ball to apply witch hazel to the hemorrhoids. Since this is a natural astringent, it will help lessen irritation and restore comfort. Mix the barberry root liquid with water, as it will help support gallbladder and liver function, in addition to ending constipation. Three times everyday, combine two milliliters with a small portion of water and drink. If you are with child or nursing, do not use this.
